Hello Hello my loves! -4 days for Valentine’s Day, and I’m writing this article to give you a quick idea of a gift you can offer to your special person!

It’s not chocolate or flowers, so don’t panic!

A couple of months ago I was wandering around the city with my boyfriend, and we found these beautiful bracelets from Thomas Sabo, if you live in Switzerland you know Thomas Sabo is quite known in here, if not then I’ll leave their website (here).

What I love the most in a gift, is the attention to detail, a little something that makes objets unique and personal, this is why I felt in love with their engravable collection! You can choose from either bracelets, necklaces, rings and charms.

We decided to treat ourselves with matching bracelets and we engrave the date of the day we met!

I’d made our love story short, my now fiancé and I met in the metro! I know, I know it doesn’t sound really romantic, but this is what life had prepared to me. I was newly arrived in Switzerland and I had no expectations or plans for a love story, but 4.5 years later I love to remember this special date, what a better way than this right?

This would be also a lovely gift for your bestie!!

You can start your gift from a 39.00 CHF bracelet up to whatever your budget allows you.

The engraving is super fast, so you don’t have to wait any extra time!

I hope you’ll find something nice and special to your special person, remember love should be cherished every single day!

lots of love,

Hello my loves, today I’m going to talk about my favorite foundation, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

I’m going to start by stating that my favorite kind of makeup, is the “No makeup, makeup”. I prefer to enhance my features, rather than hide my skin under tons of makeup, it’s just a personal preference and I think a natural makeup suits everyone.

I always have had a love-hate relationships with foundations, I love how they look when they’re freshly applied, but after a couple of hours I hate how some of them make my skin look! When you accidentally pass by a mirror in a store or go to public bathrooms (usually light is pretty horrible in those places ) and you see how your foundation has set into the dry patches, you have no makeup on your chin anymore (you can find the remains of it in your scarf or the corners of your jacket) or it even makes you look super oily… like honestly, I’d rather just NOT wear any foundation!

So, my solution was pretty simple, I was just using concealer in the areas that need more coverage, until I found this gem! Seriously this foundation is a game changer for me. I love how my skin looks with this product and I have been using it for about 4-5 months now.

Ok here we go with the technical features

I took this image from the Giorgio Armani website because I want you to see how they describe. This is one of those rare occasions where I actually agree with what is written on the bottle. The only thing I do differently is the application. Instead of using a blender brush I always use a beauty blender/beauty sponge for applying my foundation, and I don’t think I’ll change that.

I use shade number 5 and I think it suits me pretty well. I don’t set my makeup with powder so I can’t give you a review on that, but honestly, I don’t feel this foundation makes my skin shinny in a gross way after a couple of hours of wear. I do get oily sometimes but nothing major. Even when I’m not wearing foundation this happens, so I don’t see this as an issue caused by the foundation. Anyways I always carry with me blotting papers, and even just tapping those areas with a Kleenex will do the trick.

As for the wear and last of the foundation I am truly realistic, it’s only makeup guys of course it won’t last 24 hours. With that in mind, I do think that the lasting power is okay on this product. When I come home in the evening I am not angry with the way my makeup looks. Of course somedays I’ll look better than others but I don’t think the foundation is the only thing responsable for that!

If I’m going out in the evening, I like to remove all my makeup, and do everything from scratch. I think is the best way to do it if you have the time! If I don’t have enough time (which ends up being 90% of the time I go out) then I’ll just generously spray my face with Caudelie beauty water, and spot conceal the areas that I need.

As you may have noticed I’m pretty chill with what I expect from a foundation, this is because I mostly rely on my skincare routine if I want to my skin to look good! I think skincare is the most important step if you want your makeup to look pretty. I don’t have a perfect skin, but over the years I learned what type of products my skin enjoys and which ones it’d rather just not touch. And of course I’m not a teenager anymore so my skin is a lot easier to manage.

The only negative feature of this foundation is the bottle. You never know how much product you have left because of the matte finish on the bottle. Other than that I would highly recommend you give this product a try. I know for sure I’ll use this foundation on my wedding day next year.

I would love to know what is your favorite foundation!

Love, Katia

#OOTD No.1 from 2018

Hello my loves & happy Friday, yes finally the end of the week! I can’t complain we did got some much appreciated sun rays and with that, I finally got the opportunity to get some nice pictures.

With Salomé (@im_salome) we first stop for some lunch in a new place called “Pancs Cafe” (@pancs.lausanne) a lovely and cosy place that yes, as the name suggests, serves pancakes et crêpes, both salty and sugar! My recommendation will be the “Vanilla cake”.

After that, we walked into the streets looking for the perfect place to take nice pictures, we took some at the Church of St. François/Francis and then headed to smaller and less noisy streets.

I didn’t think much about this outfit while getting ready in the morning, but at the end I have to say I really did like this pieces together a lot!

I’ll leave you all the direct links at the end.

Hello my loves! I’m finally back in Switzerland

In today’s post, I want to share the five new things I will love to do in 2018.

Exactly last year, I enrolled myself to the gym, with the intention on going at least twice a week, I know it’s not that much, and there’s people that go every single morning… But I was quite surprised with myself, I did actually went to the gym almost every single week.

I go to Let’s Go, it’s the biggest chain of gyms in Switzerland, I think their fees are correct, considering that you have access to all the collective courses and the proper gym area, they’re open the whole week and you can attend any of the gyms. At the beginning I tried almost all the courses and finally, the one that I liked the most was Zumba, the instructor is amazing and was perfect for my schedule! For the second day, I do 30 minutes of cardio, and then some floor exercises.

For 2018, I want to add a third day in my fitness routine, and Pilates on Monday morning sounds like a good idea.

I’ll leave Let’s Go website here.

As long as I remember I had long hair, and don’t get me wrong I love it, but I want to experince something different. I have been influenced by Tanya Burr and Olivia Culpo, so I think that in a couple of days I’ll be making RDV with my hair dresser. Of course I’m a little bit nervous, but at the end of the day hair grows! And who knows? Maybe I will love it, and I’ll be keeping it short for a longer period.

When it comes to cooking, I only know the basics and honestly is NOT my passion. On the other hand, I know it’s important to have a correct and healthy diet, so I would love to start cooking new dishes.

My goals, are to at least try one new recipe each week, incorporate more veggies, mushrooms, and vegetal protein.

I love reading, and before moving to Switzerland I was reading a new book almost every month. My all-time favorite author is Ken Follet, hands down! He’s the perfect writter if you’re like me, and love historical novels.

Currently I’m reading Peter Pan, a classic. But, I still have a couple of books that I bought and haven’t had the chance to read them.

Since I started my Blog in June 2017, I discover new bloggers all the time, specially from Switzerland and Mexico, since these two are the countries that follow the most my Blog and Instagram. I have discovered many talented and creative girls that inspire me to work hard on the content I want to share with you guys, but it also happens to me that I start comparing myself… I don’t have enough followers as X girl, I don’t post as much I as X girl, and the list goes on…

The sad part of comparing yourself to someone else, is that you loose your time and energy, furthermore you create a negative vibe around you, and nobody should create this around themselves! This is why, I challenge myself to create and write without looking at the numbers, I challenge myself just to enjoy and let myself be creative in my own way.

Here I talk about the “blogging world”, but comparisons can be made in any situations of your life.

What about you guys? What goals are you setting for yourself this year? I will love to know!

Hello everyone and happy 2018! Welcome to the very first post of the year. I hope that so far you had amazing and safe holidays!

As you might have notice if you follow me on Instagram I’m currently in Mexico, more precisely in my hometown Cuernavaca, just a few kilometers away from Mexico City. Cuernavaca is known as the “Everlasting Spring” city, due as the name suggests, it’s beautiful weather. For a whole month I have the luxury of waking up without looking at the weather app, I just have a big and beautiful sun every single day!

I have tried to post as many pictures and stories to share a little bit of my everyday life and adventures here in Mexico, most of the days consist on long coffee dates with my friends, beautiful spots in the city, and of course some #touristystuff, even though I’m a local new places bloom everywhere, and I haven’t been here in a whole year, so I take the time to explore.

Yesterday I went to “Jardines de México” (website) a botanical garden, located 45 minutes away from Cuernavaca, even though it opened a couple of years ago, I didn’t had the chance to visit before. The botanical garden is divided into different themes, for example you have the cactus garden, Italian garden, Japanese garden, tropical garden, and a dome full of orchids.

For my outfit, I wore my new Majorelle CollectionSangria Top” a bare shoulder top that has an open front with tassel tie closures and the “Sunday Skirt” also from Majorelle Collection, a button down skirt that allows to show a little bit of leg.

I bought this outfit from Revolve.com, I had already seen these pieces on their Instagram account during the summer, and few days ago, while wandering on the Revolve App I found out these pieces were on sale! That’s what I call destiny, of course I’ll leave the directs link below.

Special recommendations

– Try to visit the place early to avoid the higher temperatures and sun exposure.

– Sunscreen (obviously)

– For  Revolve download the App and you’ll get -15% off in your first order
